Adelaide Simpson-Weatherburn

Adelaide completed her Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology at NOVA Southeastern University of Ft. Lauderdale, FL in 1994. She received a bachelor’s in Business Administration from Valdosta State University in Valdosta, GA in 1987. After working in Miami, FL with Dade County Public Schools she was offered a therapy position in Santa Fe, NM to work with individuals on the Developmentally Disabilities Waiver Program. She never left the beautiful Southwest. After the births of her sons, John and Will, she founded Rainbow Road Therapies to offer private speech-language services in her beloved Las Vegas, New Mexico, and surrounding communities.

Adelaide has dedicated her career to working with pediatrics and adults. Her career has spanned populations that include Early Childhood Outpatient Clinic, Adults and Children with Developmental Disabilities, Schools, Long Term Care, and Acute Care. Special interests include autism spectrum, dyslexia, and complex communication needs. 

Her specialized trainings include DIR Floortime, PROMPT, Hanen, Feeding, Apraxia, AAC, and Dyslexia. She enjoys spending time traveling with her husband, Steve, and two sons John and Will. She enjoys  Southwest gardening and photography.
